Bulgaria Criticized In Connection With Implementation of WEEE Directive and High Product Fees

Bulgaria - Product Take-Back

The Bulgarian Government has been criticized by representatives of a household appliance manufacturers trade association (CECED) in connection with the transposition and implementation of the WEEE Directive. Allegedly, the Bulgarian government failed to involve industry in the drafting and implementation of the law, the product fees are excessive, and the collection targets are unrealistic.
