Mexico Publishes New Hazardous Waste Rule

Mexico - Hazardous Waste

On June 23, 2006, Mexico’s Secretary of the Environment (SEMARNAT) published the final version of its hazardous waste rule NOM-052-SEMARNAT-2005 (New Rule) concluding a process that was begun in 1999 and involved extensive public comment as well as the participation of various industry associations including the National Chamber of Electronic, Telecommunication and Computer Industry (CANIETI).
