How to use EIATRACK

Question:

In your recent report on WEEE/RoHS implementation in France, you stated:
"The Decree does not provide a list of exempted applications. Rather, it provides that the Ministers of Ecology and Industry will have the power to jointly determine in which cases and under which conditions exemptions may be granted. In any event, exemptions must be based on a low level of use of the substance and/or specific characteristics of its use."

Does that mean that France has not adopted WEEE Annex I & II? Or that it might not be following WEEE/RoHS FAQ guidance? If so, would it be possible to apply for a variance or any similar relief for non-RoHS compliant equipment in France?

Thank you for clarifying this point.

Best regards.
