South Korea's WEEE, RoHS and EUP Policy WebinarNovember 2, 2006 South KoreaContinuing on in our webinar series, EIATRACK Korea partner Eco-Frontier introduce members to Korea's new cradle-to-grave policy covering electronics. The draft "Act for Resource Recycling of Electrical/Electronic Products and Automobiles" notification was published on 30 March 2006 and the policy and will be enforced from January 1, 2008. The draft aims to establish a law which presides over the entire span of the product life cycle to promote recycling and restrict the use of hazardous substances from the design of electrical/electronic products and automobiles. Elements similar to the European Union WEEE, ROHS and End-of-life Vehicles (ELV) and Energy Using Products (EUP) are all covered in the policy. Members may use our Ask a Question tool if any further details on Korea are required. Click the button below to play the webinar. For EIATRACK members, the presentation slides are also available below for offline viewing and printing.
